Title: Being women engineer at CISCO
Sharing Rachel´s professional development path in cisco and encouraging engineer women in the current networking challenging world.

Raquel Castaneda has been working with Cisco since 2008. She began working as a TAC (Technical Assistance Center) as a Support Engineer, then she moved to a new role as Consulting Network Engineer. During this job position she achieved Security CCNP and she got the CCIE Security Certification. In 2014 she chose a new challenge as Presales Engineer. Now Raquel is a Cybersecurity Consultant in Latin America. Before Cisco, Raquel worked for some other companies as HP, EDS, Nextel and Getronics.

Raquel studied at Instituto Politécnico Nacional UPIITA in México City, getting the Telematics Engineer degree. She speaks English and Portuguese, she loves, spending time with friends and family, she really enjoys traveling and reading.
