Archaeological zone El Rey

Description

The most important Archaeological Zone on the island of Cancun, it is believed that the first settlers inhabited it 300 years before our era, building wooden houses with palm roofs. His mural paintings include representations of Maya deities and religious elements. Formed by 47 structures, you will be surprised by the buildings in the middle of the magnificent nature that surrounds them.

Mayan Museum of Cancun

The third most important museum space for INAH, you will find the archaeological collections of the most important Mayan culture of the country with pieces of Palenque, Chichen Itza, Comalcalco, among other places. Thematic from the archeology of Quintana Roo, to the Mayan civilization are treated in this space. It is definitely a museum you should not miss while passing through Cancun and the current venue was just opened in 2012.

Jungle Tours
