Ing. Miguel Angel López Mendoza

Title: Hacia el Supercómputo con Unidades Gráficas de Procesamiento (GPUs).

  • BIOGRAPHY

Miguel Angel Lopez studied Telematics Engineering and graduated with honors with the thesis titled "Sistema de Alarma Telecomando" at IPN.
Head of the Office of Technological Development of the inter-bank electronic Payments System (SPEI), system in charge of the interbank transfers in pesos at national level, for which he designed the technology (HA-MISD) applicable to systems of mission critical, which allows it to strengthen its operational continuity.
Additionally, he is an independent consultant for accelerated computing projects through the use of technologies such as graphical processing units (GPUs), software interfaces for message passing in clustered architectures (MPI), computer libraries Massive parallel, among the most important.

  • RESUME

Supercomputing is defined as the use of computers with extraordinary capabilities (supercomputers), these are usually found within installations with specialized energizing and cooling systems. However, supercomputing technologies can be applied to everyday processing centers in order to increase their performance. These technologies are mainly the graphics processing units (GPUs), the Infiniband Communication Interfaces (IB), the communication Libraries for message passing (MPI), among the most important. This talk will talk about how to use these technologies, and how to integrate them into processing centers in order to maximize their capacities.
