Cerro del Cubilete

Description

This mountain is located within the municipality of Silao is a major tourist center largely due to the monumental statue of Christ on the Mount. Although the monument as we know it opened in 1950 , already existed a previous one that was bombed by orders Plutarco Elias Calles in 1928. After the Basilica of Guadalupe and Our Lady of San Juan de los Lagos , is the most visited shrine in the country.

Museum José and Tomás Chávez Morado

Description

TJose Chavez Morado was one of the muralists of the Mexican School of Painting, with big names like Juan O'Gorman , Raul Anguiano and Alfredo Zalce . His brother Thomas was devoted to sculpture. The museum is located in the birthplace of Chavez and sample a permanent collection of works made by two brothers between 1930 and 1990.
