Lidia Torres is an Embedded Software Supervisor for the engineering, technology research and development division of Honeywell, a global software-industrial company. She is based at Honeywell Technology Solutions Center in Mexico City, where she leads a group of engineers that design and develop embedded software for different business units. In this role, she continuously collaborates with product engineers, project managers and innovation teams to research new technologies that could be applied at current Honeywell projects.
Lidia has 15 years of experience in embedded software, including design, development and trials for the automotive and electrical segment. Her technical expertise has positioned her as expert at proposing recommendations and corrective actions related to the use of software methodologies for electronic applications.
Information collection through hardware and its conversion to digital data can be used to monitor different variables. IoT solutions such as smart meters allow us to analyze power consumption remotely, aiming to make informed decisions, optimize energy use and even predict consumption patterns.
